Large Screen Based Mediaphone

This paper summarizes our experience in developing a software platform for a consumer Mediaphone with 1024×600 resolution using Android 1.x/2.0 on an ARM Cortex A8 based SoC.

It gives you some insights about the work we have done, such as:

• Designed an Android-based software platform, targeting large-screen devices, such as the ones with 7-10” and 800×480 – 1024×600 resolution.
• Developed a framework to access the social network, such as twitter, flicker, YouTube, Facebook, etc. with the applications without breaking or adding any new interface to the Android SDK.
• Developed a framework to access web services in the applications.
