Camera Modules

The application of camera modules has moved way beyond its traditional use as a mere component of a still camera to various applications such as machine vision, medical imaging, and scientific research. The shift towards CMOS image sensors has made it possible to achieve higher resolution at lower costs. System developers are looking for plug-and-play designs that work on different platforms like Windows, Linux & Jetson TX1/TX2, where they need not develop custom Hardware and software. PathPartner offers a range of off-the-shelf plug-n-play camera modules as well as custom developed camera modules suitable for your requirement.

Our off-the-shelf camera modules come with MIPI or USB interface and can be interfaced to processors such as Snapdragon 820, Jetson TX1/TX2, i.MX, OMAP, and other linux/windows/android based systems. We provide drivers for linux, windows and android for integration with these camera modules.

The team at PathPartner leverages the capabilities in camera sensor technology, camera-tuning, camera hardware design capability and algorithm development to design state of the art camera modules and as well imaging software for your various needs. Some of the areas where camera modules can be used are:

  • High speed capturing and processing for industrial inspection and other machine vision applications
  • High resolution for augmented reality
  • Document scanning
  • Head mount displays
  • People counting, Object classification and Object detection for surveillance applications
  • Obstacle avoidance, Depth sensing, Mapping
  • Factory automation, logistics and security in industrial space
  • Bin picking, 3D object location and identification

10.5 MP 3D stereo camera module

PathPartner’s 3D Stereo Camera on SnapDragon 820 leverages the capabilities in camera sensor technology, camera-tuning, camera hardware design capability and algorithm development and enables your machine to see like a human eye in three dimensions.

5MP USB 3.0 camera module

5 MP Autofocus HD USB 3.0 camera module is based on OV5640 CMOS image sensor from Omnivision and is fully compliant with USB Video Class (UVC) 1.0 standard and USB Audio Class (UAC) 1.0 standard. OV5640 provides full functionality of complete camera including anti-shake technology, AF Control, integrated JPEG compression engine and automatic image control functions and outputs the data in high-speed dual lane MIPI interface. It is also compatible with Jetson TX1/TX2.

Machine vision camera module

Industries which involve production and manufacturing in varied sectors such as food, automotive, agricultural, medical, textile and packaging are achieving higher production rates by automating manual processes such as scanning, identification, and counting using machine vision cameras. PathPartner’s USB3.0 machine vision camera is a plug and play device compliant with current Machine Vision standards. It is designed for low light performance and features a global shutter for accurate capture of moving scenes. It is also compatible with Jetson TX1/TX2.

Jetson compatible camera modules

NVIDIA's JetsonTX is a powerful platform used for developing computer vision based applications that are used in medical, robotics and manufacturing industries.

The eye for any vision based system is the camera. Pathpartner provides cameras compatible with JetsonTK1,TX1,TX2 platforms. These cameras are interfaced with Jetson through USB and can be streamed through v4l2 based applications (for example, guvcview).

8MP USB3.0 camera module

8 MP Autofocus HD USB 3.0 Camera Module is based on OV8825 CMOS image sensor and image sensor processor from Omnivision and is fully compliant with USB Video Class (UVC) 1.0 standard and USB Audio Class (UAC) 1.0 standard. It provides full functionality of complete camera including AF Control and automatic image control functions and outputs the data in high speed dual lane MIPI interface.
