FPGA based Heart-beat Testing of Development/Evaluation Boards
The first big challenge while bringing up development/ evaluation boards is to have its basic functionality which is working of component and intra-board connectivity. When an application is not working, it has been observed that non-functionality of board is a big factor and does consume considerable engineer’s effort for debug.
This case study details on:
- Features of BT design in evaluating the basic board functionality having the following peripherals:
- Temperature Sensor
- Timer IC
To shorten this cycle, it is desirable to have a Testsetup that does a heart-beat check to validate the basic board functionality. Hence, the debug cycle is considerably reduced saving useful man- hours.
